TIP: Flu Season

Incase you didn’t know, the flu is a very bad sickness that is infesting people all over the country right now, and especially here in New Jersey. It is being reported that this year has been the worst year with regard to the Flu. The Emergency room and doctor visits are reaching record highs. The sickness is spreading rapidly, and people are constantly getting sick.  

We want to make sure that no one else gets sick from the flu, so here are some helpful tips to avoid the flu:

  • Avoid close contact with other people
  • Cover your mouth and nose when your sneeze or cough
  • Avoid touching your mouth, eyes, ears, and nose
  • Sanitize or wash your hands thoroughly
  • Get the flu shot
  • Practice good eating habits

On the other hand, if you already have the flu here are some tips to keep in mind as you recover:

  • Stay home and rest
  • Drink plenty of fluids, always stay hydrated
  • Keep things clean
  • Wash your hands
  • The CDC advises antiviral prescription drugs, which can be effective for treatment
