Legislation bill A-5777 was held in the Assembly last voting session. This bill would end the public health emergency but would allow executive orders issued by Governor Murphy to continue until 2022. A-5777 would keep 15 of the governor’s executive orders in place until Jan. 1, 2022, and would allow him to alter and continue making rules on vaccine distribution, virus testing, health care staff allocation, data collection and coordination with local health departments. For the past 15 months the Governor’s executive orders have taken a toll on our children’s physical and emotional health. This is holding back our economy and state from prospering economically and giving the legislature no more power than we had before. A-5777 will be back in the NJ Assembly on June 3rd. I will be a NO vote on this bill. I also oppose the requirement for children wearing masks when they return to school in the fall. Thank you for all of your support!
