Last month I brought about some new legislation which is the idea to revive New Jersey’s vintage license plate. It was recommended by a constituent. Various states have brought back retro license plates and found there to be great demand. In fact, these plates have proven to be very profitable.

I know that these have been strange and trying times, but Christmas, Hanukkah and Kwanzaa will be here in weeks to come and this is a month we can share the love that we have for our families, our communities, and our country. If anyone is looking to donate and or is in need of food assistance, I have links listed below or please do not hesitate to reach out to myself or my office and we will assist you.

As Americans, we all have a great deal to be thankful for.

During a typical year, most people look forward to the holiday season — but we all know 2020 has been far from normal. Between the COVID-19 pandemic, a changing political climate, protests and rallies, and other daily stresses of life, we could all use some extra holiday cheer this season. The Jersey Shore might not be your first destination during the winter holidays, but many towns dotting the coastline have some special events worth checking out, despite the cold. Check out my link below.

Please accept the Rooney Family’s warmest wishes for a Merry Christmas, Happy Hanukkah, Happy Kwanzaa & Happy New Year!

I look forward to seeing you soon.

Gov. Phil Murphy revealed a spending plan last week that relies on borrowing while increasing taxes for millionaires, cigarettes, firearms and more. It also restores funding to property tax relief programs that were put on hold amid coronavirus’ economic turmoil. The proposed $32.4 billion budget, which would fund the state from October to June 2021, includes $4 billion of borrowed money and allows for a $2.2 billion surplus.
New Jersey has lost more than 7,200 residents at long-term care facilities to covid19, this is why they are among the first in line to get vaccinated. Governor Phil Murphy, joined by New Jersey Department of Health Commissioner Judith Persichilli and CVS Health Regional Director Kat Kingston, Monday visited Roosevelt Care Center in Old Bridge to mark the launch of the state’s vaccination effort of residents and staff of long-term care facilities.
